As a Veterinary Account Manager you will be responsible for dealing with a number veterinary practices, both existing and new clients, so there is great potential to develop business. The role will involve building and developing strong and lasting relationships with key contacts at veterinary practices, both over the telephone and through face to face meetings. You will be required to sell (in a consultative manner) the company’s services to practice decision makers as well as training them on products so they can in turn promote to pet owners. The position includes developing both new business and growing existing accounts and you will need to be prepared to travel throughout the region (which has some flexibility). You will be given a high level of autonomy in your role and the position has huge scope to develop.
The ideal Account Manager will need at least 2 years’ experience of selling in to UK veterinary practices and have a proven history of sales success. It would be highly beneficial to already have a list of contacts in this region, although this is not essential. We will also consider commercially-minded Veterinary Nurses with the aptitude to succeed. You will need to be a highly motivated and target-driven sales person with an ambition to exceed targets. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work off your own initiative are a must, as well as having the ability to influence people. We are looking for an entrepreneurial individual with a desire to help grow the business. You will need to be based somewhere in the region, although for the right person the company can be flexible to accommodate the right candidate.
