Job Description

Our client is an expanding animal health company who are currently experiencing an exciting period of organic growth. They specialise in working with vets to improve the welfare, productivity and performance of farm animals and horses. Working with partners around the world, they seek out new ideas, technologies and products for specialist horse, cattle and poultry vets and offer a diverse and interesting range of other products, including pharmaceuticals and diagnostic tests. 

The Company is now putting in place an ambitious plan for growth and are looking to hire a Veterinary Advisor to join the friendly team. Full training will be given, and this is a great opportunity for you to grow and develop in an industry role. 

Based out of their Gloucestershire head office, this is a technical role within a commercial environment and will require you to use your science expertise as well as develop business acumen and outstanding communication skills. You must enjoy intellectually challenging work and problem solving. Whilst the work is varied, your primary task will be to provide technical advice and training to customers and to the sales force on the use of products in the portfolio, as well as support to marketing. Your role is an important one in the future growth and success of the business and you will be expected to contribute to the strategic development of the company. Therefore, it is important that you have an interest in the commercial side of the veterinary profession as well as excellent technical knowledge and that you develop a good understanding of the structure of the farm and equine veterinary industry as well as industry competitors and their products.  You will be required over time to develop expertise in the science relating to our key products. This will include reviewing relevant new research papers and coming up with product improvement and new product ideas. Key areas of responsibility include: Technical Support, Communications and Training and Product Support and Pharmacovigilance. Please contact us for a full job spec.

Essential Experience and Skills required:
• Scientific or Veterinary Degree
• 2-3 years' experience in the veterinary arena
• An academic mind
• Ability to write clearly and well
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.  Ability to communicate complicated science clearly. 
• Excellent interpersonal skills
